Suspension/Termination Process
Revision date: August.28.10
Explanation: In most cases, accounts are suspended first and not immediately terminated. There are some instances where we will terminate immediately but it is a case by case and situation by situation decision.
Suspension - account holder does not have access to cpanel, ftp or email. It will return invalid login. Your site will also display our custom Suspension page. Your site files are still on the server and no data is lost. Accounts are placed in suspension for up to 1 week (7 days) and if the account holder has not contacted us about it, the site may be terminated.
Terminated - account is no longer in our system and there is no access to cpanel, ftp, web or email. Site files are no longer on the server and are unrecoverable! If your account is terminated that means it is gone...no files, no site, no email. We will no longer re-create accounts that have been terminated unless there is a good reason as to why and we will take that on a case by case basis. Be advised that we still may not recreate your account.
Here are just a few (certainly not limited to these, see TOS) reasons an account may get suspended:
- Topsites
- IRC Scripts/Bots
- Proxy Scripts/Anonymizers
- Pirated Software/Warez
- Hateful/Racist/Harassment oriented sites
- Hacker focused sites/archives/programs
- Sites promoting illegal activities
- Forums and/or websites that distribute or link to warez/pirated/illegal content
- Bank Debentures/Bank Debenture Trading Programs
- Fraudulent Sites
Should your account be suspended, we have it logged when and why. You can contact us via email, site PM or forums. Please include your domain, contact email and cPanel user name from when your account was 1st created.
You may or may NOT get an email (to the account you applied with) stating your account was suspended! It is your responsibility to check your site (daily or every other day) and contact us about a suspension. You will know if your account has been suspended as it will display a 365-Hosting suspension page instead of your site.
We will leave accounts suspended for 1 week. If we have not heard from you within that time the account is terminated. No files will be saved. We are forced to be more aggressive with this as some accounts are going unused and we need the resources for new accounts. This uses up our time on researching why the account was terminated and then recreating it. We will no longer do this.
The best way to ensure your account does not get suspended is to comply with our Terms of Service.
Your public directory - (public_html) - Must Have an index.php, index.html or index.htm file of your business or personal website. Without question we will disable the account if the following are displayed:
- come back soon, under construction
- a sub domain from us with a blank page
- it is your responsibility to notify 365 Hosting if you have your own domain and make the proper domain changes
- public file upload/share as your main business page will no longer be tolerated
We do respect the copyrighted works of others and if your site is violating any copyright interest, we will suspend your account and give you a chance to correct the issue. However, if there are repeated complaints of copyright issues with your site, it will be terminated.
You can see more in our FAQ's section as well.
